A thyroid panel is a group of tests that may be ordered to evaluate thyroid gland function and to help diagnose thyroid disorders. The tests included in a thyroid panel measure the level of thyroid hormones in the blood.

TSH w/Reflex Free T4: For differential diagnosis of primary, secondary, and tertiary hypothyroidism. Also useful in screening for hyperthyroidism. This assay allows adjustment of exogenous thyroxine dosage in hypothyroid patients and in patients on suppressive thyroxine therapy for thyroid neoplasia.
 
T4 Free:  is used to find out how well your thyroid gland is working.)
 
Thyroid peroxidase (TPO) :  is an enzyme that plays an important role in making thyroid hormones.
